Gothic inspiration: The Black lipstick Trend

Lancome’s new artistic director for makeup, Aaron de May, has created

 a  limited set edition  that’s scheduled to launch in November.

The set, which is inspired by a pair of Louboutins includes 

a red lipstick (Pita Red) and a sparkling lip gloss in Black (Piha Black).

You can wear the products separately or slick the lipgloss on

 over the lipstick to achieve a multi-dimensional dark lip.

Also in mid-september, YSL Gloss Pur Black is described as  a sparkle-free

 lipgloss that’s “transparent, yet intense.”

This gloss was wore in Yves Saint Laurent: Fall 2008 Ready-to-Wear: a very classic and elegant look

 with white skin and black lips from the gothic look inspired by

 Louise Brooks haircut, Punk-Rock and Batcave make-up.

One of myspace friend the lovely and elegant Euridice is a great source of inspiration.

The Art of strip: EVELYN WEST

Evelyn West (1921- 2004)"The Hubba-Hubba Girl" was a burlesque legend 

of the forties, fifties, and sixties. She would often quip to her audience 

"I know you're looking at my shoes".

She became famous because of her spicy and shameless striptease shows 

and also because she insured her natural breasts with Lloyd's of London for $50.000. 

Since that moment she was known as "Evelyn $50.000 Treasure Chest West" 

or "The Girl with the $50.000 Treasure Chest".

Pin-Up Forever

Je vous préviens ce n'est pas la première fois que vous verrez sur ce blog des images rétros fétichistes de pin-Up sur talons aiguilles, de Bondage, d'érotisme glam provenant pour la plupart d'anciens magazines de charme.

Les années 40 et 50 sont mes décennies favorites pour ce qui est de la représentation érotique des femmes.

C'était le temps des femmes fatales des films noirs et des bimbos qui servaient d'appât aux monstres pervers,des dessins de Pin-UP et les pulps.

Ma Star de l'époque favorite est La mystérieuse actrice de Laura: Gene Tierney.

Quant aux pin-up, elles ont pris le relais des stars scandaleuses du cinéma muet et du début du parlant (Louise Brooks, les films de De Mille et Von Stroheim), c'est-à-dire du cinéma d'avantl'instauration en 1934 du code de censure dit code Hayes, en affichant sur papier glacé plutôt que sur l'écran d'argent une sexualité flagrante et tout le catalogue des perversions sexuelles. 

Les stars de cinéma d'alors Marilyn, Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Kim Novak, Gene Tierney, Lana Turner ou Betty Grable ont commencé leur

carrière en se prêtant au jeu de cet érotisme soft.
